Co-curricular Activites

CO-CURRICULAR/EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
(1) The National Cadet Corps,an youth organisation, is administered through Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. It has a branch in this institution with an in-take capacity as given below:
(i) EME (Electrical & Mechanical Engg.) : 50
(ii) Signal : 80
(iii) Girls : 30
Total : 160
Mj. S.K. Pattnaik, HOD(ETC) & ANO, Lt. S.S. Raj, ANO are organizing the NCC wing of this institution with a motto to teach unity and discipline to the cadets. As this a technical institute the cadets enrolled in technical wing to get more opportunity while appearing for SSB, CDS etc.
The cadets carry out value based social activities like blood donation camp, vigilance awareness rally, water point during summer and AIDS awareness rally etc.
SPORTS
The students of this institution take part in different sports activities throughout the year. The boys play Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Lawn tennis, Cricket and girls play Badminton. The students also play indoor games like chess, carom, Table tennis. A number of students come to the Gymnasium of the institution on regular basis for body building and for maintaining good health. This year, the 46th Annual Athletic Meet was conducted on 28th & 29th January, 2009 in the institution play ground. The MLA, Berhampur, had attended the meet as the Chief Guest on the Closing Day.
S.S.G
The social service guild (SSG) has been playing a vital role in encouraging the students to do social activities like cleaning of the environment, plantation programme and organising meetings /seminars on moral values, health care and national integration. The Berhampure Development Authority contributed 10 nos. of tree guards and the Forest Department donated a number saplings for plantation programme organized by the SSG during the year 2008-09.
Patanjali Yoga Center
Sri G. Ramsakar, Retd. Principal of this institution started a Yoga Center from 21.03.2006 which is being conducted regularly in the quadrangle of the institution. Sri A.T. Sahoo, Sr.Steno is co-ordinating the camp and a number of staff, students and elderly persons of the locality are benefited by attending this programme.
Institution Magazine/Wall-Magazine
To enhance the literary activities among staff and students, the institution magazine "TECHNO-VISION" is being published every year. This year also, the magazine is going to be published shortly during the celebration of "Annual Day Function". The wall magazine "PRERANA" is also being published with 2 to 3 issues per year. The eminent literary figures are being invited during the publication of wall magazine to encourage the students for participating in literary activities.
